The Activities Department is committed to promoting a quality active adult lifestyle for Sun City Roseville residents through exceptional activities, programs and services. We maintain a large library, organize bus trips to theaters, museums and other local events. We also provide longer outings to national parks and other interesting locales. We hold a yearly carnival and host a number of holiday celebrations with a wide variety of entertainment throughout the year.
Senior Spectacular
SCR participated in an event targeting Sacramento area baby-boomers that was held at Jackson Rancheria on May 11, 2009. The event featured exhibitors (including SCR) who provided information about retirement communities, health and living ideas, medical alternatives. There was also plenty of entertainment.
The Activities Department took a bus to Jackson Rancheria for the event.
Sun City Roseville Helps to Sponsor Award Winning Rose Parade Float
Sun City Roseville helped sponsor our City of Roseville float at the New Years Day Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Above is a picture of the float, which won the Governor's Trophy. This year, 2009, is Roseville's 100th Anniversary, and the float was our kickoff for a year long celebration. Several bus loads of Sun City Roseville residents made the trip to Pasadena to help build the float and cheer it along the parade route.
It was a wonderful experience.
