Pleasant Grove Creek Trail
Pleasant Grove Creek Trail is a 5.6 mile, moderately trafficked, out-and-back trail that offers the chance to see wildlife. This trail is good for all skill levels and is primarily used for walking, trail running and nature trips. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Blue Oaks Park
Also known as the Pleasant Grove Creek Trail South Branch, is a dirt trail and bicycle path 2.9 miles in length and moderately trafficked. It features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. This looping trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Oak Grove Park
Is a peaceful short and level walk through an Oak grove that also has a seasonal creek. There are several picnic tables and park benches along the path. Wildlife can often be spotted along this walk, including: Western Bluebirds, Acorn Woodpeckers, Red-shouldered Hawks, Nuthatches and Jack Rabbits. The entry for Oak Grove Park is off the golf course path at the end of the Timber Creek Golf Course parking lot.
School House Park
This is a lovely park complete with walking trails, an historic gravesite and amphitheater. There are several picnic tables and park benches along the path. Wildlife spotted along this walk includes: Gray Squirrels, Jack Rabbits a variety of birds and Hawks. Access to School House Park can be gained from School House Lane or from Fiddyment Road.
Cart Path
This nature trail is a short and level walk along the edge of the Timber Creek Golf Course. Wildlife that may be spotted at the pond include: Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets and Green Herons. Entry to the Cart Path is found near the Sun City Blvd. entrance at the waterfall, or on Rose Creek Road.
Mahany Nature Preserve
This trail is partially managed by Sun City Roseville. The Mahany Nature Preserve trail offers several multiple options that wander through Oaks and grasslands. Vernal pools and a variety of wildlife are also found all along Mahany Nature Preserve. The preserve stretches from Fiddyment to Woodcreek Oaks Blvd.
